Frequently Asked Questions

At this time, I do not offer portrait tattoos as part of my services. However, I am currently dedicating time and focus to mastering this craft. Portraits are deeply sacred and often serve as powerful memorials—each one deserving of the highest level of care and precision. Please stay tuned as I continue on this journey to refine my technique. I look forward to honoring your stories with the artistry they deserve.

First 24 Hours:

  • Leave the bandage or saniderm on for the time instructed (usually 2–4 hours unless told otherwise).
  • Wash your hands thoroughly before touching your tattoo.
  • Gently remove the bandage or  and wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap (like Dr. Bronner’s Baby Unscented or Dial Gold).
  • Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Do not rub.
  • Let your tattoo breathe for 30–60 minutes before applying ointment.

Days 1–5:

  • If Saniderm or a similar second-skin bandage was used: Leave the bandage on for up to 5 days—this allows your tattoo to begin healing in a protected, sterile environment.
  • - **If you notice a buildup of plasma, blood, or ink (a fluid pocket) within the first 24 hours, you can remove the Saniderm early to prevent irritation or infection. To remove it safely, do so under warm running water and peel it off slowly and gently—never dry peel.- After removing, clean the tattoo gently with unscented antibacterial soap, pat it dry with a clean paper                towel, and allow it to breathe for 30–60 minutes before applying a thin layer of healing ointment.
  • Apply a thin layer of a tattoo-specific ointment (like Aquaphor or Hustle Butter) 2–3 times a day.
  • Do not over-apply—it should be a light coat.
  • Keep the area clean and avoid tight clothing over the tattoo.

Days 5–14:

  • Switch to an unscented lotion (like Lubriderm, Aveeno, or Eucerin).
  • Your tattoo may flake or peel—this is normal. Do not scratch or pick at it.
  • Continue moisturizing 2–3 times daily.
  • Avoid soaking (baths, hot tubs, swimming) and do not expose to direct sunlight.

What to Avoid:

  • No scratching, picking, or peeling.
  • No swimming or soaking for at least 2–3 weeks.
  • No direct sun or tanning until fully healed.
  • Avoid heavy exercise that may cause excessive sweating or friction on the area.

Fully Healed:

  • Healing usually takes 2–4 weeks, depending on size and placement.
  • Keep moisturizing and apply SPF 30+ when exposing your tattoo to the sun to preserve its vibrancy.

I offer touch-ups for a flat rate of $50.00. I take great pride in the quality and longevity of my work—each tattoo is a reflection of my artistry, and I treat it with the respect it deserves.

Touch-up appointments follow the same booking process as initial sessions. A non-refundable $50 deposit is required to reserve your spot. This deposit helps protect against lost time and wages in the event of a no-show.
